Lads & Dads Open Age Football Session
(Over 18’s Proposed Thursday evening 8pm to 9pm)
After speaking to a few parents before and after youth club, a fair few have shown interest in running a football session for permanent staff, ex-military and civilian dads who still have one good game left in them, let’s be honest we all do! The idea of this session is to have a bit of fun, bit of fitness with likeminded lads or dads who might be interested in a kick about for an hour. I’m looking to run the session on the astro pitch on camp every Thursday, If you’re interested get in touch let’s see if we can get enough interested to start this session.

E-bluey Cessation

e-bluey Cessation Announcement:

The Ministry of Defence has announced that we are ending the e-bluey service on 31 March 2017.

Since the draw down from Afghanistan in 2014, the e-bluey service has become less popular as a way for service personnel to keep in touch. The number of downloads per month has dramatically decreased from 100,000 to less than 3,000 downloads per month.

With the ever-growing use of Wi-Fi and mobile data-based technology for keeping in touch, personnel are finding new ways to speak to their family and loved ones.
